General FAQs
-
1Why don't you offer flights?
Predominantly because we'd have to add a mark-up on the price when we know you could get them for cheaper just by browsing for them on SkyScanner or another similar website. We aren't big-enough to negotiate amazing discounts with airlines so you wouldn't save anything with us.
-
2Why do some packages have no start date for the holiday?
The main reason is that these locations may not have flights scheduled for every day of the week, so we can't offer pre-determined dates as only you know the flight details you have chosen. We know from experience that flight prices and availability change so we prefer to wait for you to tell us when you are coming and then we can match the trip start date to suit you accordingly. We are generally flexible.
-
3For the trips with no start date how much notice do you need that I / we are coming?
We normally ask for a minimum of 1 month notice so we can make sure everyone and everything is available. Under exceptional circumstances we may be able to arrange things at shorter notice, depending on what the activity or trip you are undertaking is.

4What is your pricing strategy based on?
Simply on providing you with an amazing experience, in which your safety is our priority, whilst paying everyone in our supply chain fairly. You can likely book trips to the same or similar places for less money, but you are unlikely to get the same experience since as we are locally owned in all of our countries of operation, we know all the insider information that foreign companies don’t. We also pay people fairly, which means that you can sleep on those crisp, cotton sheets with peace of mind when you travel with us, since the person who takes you on a tour will have been paid fairly for their work, rather than exploited. Should you wish to leave tips for your Tour Guides or other staff, we do not take a cut of these.

5If you are local to the countries you operate in, why do you also have a UK address?
Mainly because we have found that customers who want to book overseas trips are not always confident to book directly with a local company they are not familiar with, from thousands of miles away, without further assurances. Thus, we have also incorporated a company in the U.K. meaning we are subject to all the laws of the land, which gives our customers more confidence to book online with us, pay their deposit, and so on. We’re not just incorporated in the U.K. of course, we are also incorporated in all of our countries of operation, with each of the local companies being majority owned by locals. Our U.K. Staff are also local to the U.K. So you can email us anytime, or just call us at any of our offices and have a conversation if you wish, as we are friendly, and don’t bite.

6Is there anything additional I should be aware of on the safari trips?
As obvious as it sounds, throwing lit cigarette butts out of vehicle window is strictly prohibited as it could easily set any of the National Parks on fire. There, we said it.
Similarly, you are not permitted to get out of the vehicles in the Parks other than in certain designated locations as instructed by your Guide. Failing to follow this rule could have two unfortunate outcomes:
- We would be hit with a massive fine and could also have our licence revoked from being permitted to undertake any safaris in future.
- You could get eaten by wild animals, or trampled to death by a wide range of heavyweight herbivores. And if you do, you can guarantee someone will have put it on TikTok within a few hours.
We will leave you to decide which of these outcomes is worse.

7Are the packages and durations shown the the Kilimanjaro hikes the only one you offer?
No. What we have shown are just one sample itinerary for each of the 6 available climbing routes. Shorter and longer durations for the climb are possible depending on your requirements. As a general rule of thumb, the shorter the duration you choose, the cheaper the package, but the more physically and mentally demanding it will be. This is because you will need to cover more distance per day and adapt to altitude more quickly.
