Package Itinerary

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your driver guide will be waiting to welcome you and give you an introduction of Uganda and your safari. The beautiful shores of Lake Victoria which are a few meters away from the airport will give you a great introduction about Uganda’s nature. Your driver will later transfer you to the lodge where you can rest ahead of your adventure.

This morning after breakfast, head west towards the pre-historic town of Fort Portal. The journey is pleasant, showcasing Uganda’s stunning countryside that proves why Uganda is considered the Pearl of Africa. On arrival, check-in your accommodation and enjoy lunch. Later, visit the crater lakes which attract a number of tourists in this area. These crater lakes are breathtakingly beautiful to behold and they offer a light but pleasant hiking experience. At the end of the day, return to your hotel for the night.

Have an early breakfast and travel to Ssemuliki National Park, about 2 hours from Fort Portal. Once there, check out the Ssempaya hot springs, which are the most attention-grabbing attractions in Ssemuliki. These springs have a geyser that shoots up from the 8 meters wide hole, and the water is at a high temperature. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and rest.

Have a hearty breakfast, then depart from Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Albertine escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Queen Elizabeth is one of the National parks in Uganda rich with wild life. On arrival, have lunch and head out for game viewing and bird watching along the Kazinga channel. Get ready for a boat launch, during which you will see a number of animals like hippos, birds, elephants and others. Have dinner and rest at your lodge.

Following an early breakfast, enjoy the morning game drive to see the nocturnal predators as well as the early morning risers like lions, buffaloes, antelope species, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, hippos and warthogs. For bird enthusiasts, Queen Elizabeth is a paradise hosting a diversity of migratory and also Albertine Rift Endemics. After lunch, transfer to the southern part of the park known as the Ishasha sector. Dine and rest at the lodge for the night.

On this day, have an early breakfast and get ready to drive through Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions that are prevalent in this area. You will see these lions hanging up on fig trees, resting and playing around. Their main purpose of hiding in the trees is to look down on the antelopes which they feed on. After the game drive, have lunch and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park. Enjoy your dinner and night at the lodge in Bwindi.

After breakfast proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla tracking, before going into the verdant forest led by the rangers. In case you are fortunate, it might take you about 2 hours or even less to see amazing Bwindi giants. The experience of coming face-to-face with these peaceful primates is very overwhelming. Head back to the lodge for lunch after tracking the gorillas. Relax as you take in sights and sounds of the dense Forest. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. The park is home to over 68 mammal species, such as buffalos, bush pigs, leopards and zebras, as well as various bird species, which you will see on the game drive. It is also well known for large numbers of zebras. On arrival, have lunch and settle in for a brief rest. Later, set out on an evening game drive through the park, which may take 2-3 hours. After the game drive you will retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast and a briefing from your guide, head out for the thrilling walking safari through the savannah grasslands. Enjoy this last guided nature walk searching for birds and animals, especially the antelopes, zebras and impalas. Later, transfer to Entebbe using the Kampala – Masaka highway, stopping briefly at the Equator line to have a feel of being at latitude 00 – that is neither North nor South. Visit the souvenir and craft shops while taking memorable photographs. Proceed to Entebbe and finally to the lodge for the night.

This morning as you end this adventurous safari, have breakfast and rest, or visit the botanical gardens as you await your flight. The splendid Entebbe Botanical gardens lie at the shores of one of the world’s largest fresh water lakes found in Uganda, Lake Victoria. Later your driver will drive you to the airport to catch your flight.
